Adolescent Medicine One-Day Exam

ABFM has partnered with the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) to offer the Adolescent Medicine one-day exam. Please note, all continuing certification candidates will be transitioned to the longitudinal assessment.
Resident Entry Process

If you are a current resident or have completed training in an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency program within the last three years, you may complete the Resident Entry Process to gain initial certification.
Postponed Certification
May 14, 2026
If you wish to obtain initial certification within your seven-year board eligibility period, and it has been three or more years since you completed residency training, you are required to complete the Certification Entry Process.
AOA Training Pathway

Certified Outside of the U.S.
