Adolescent Medicine One-Day Exam
ABFM has partnered with the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) to offer the Adolescent Medicine one-day exam. Please note, all continuing certification candidates will be transitioned to the longitudinal assessment.
Application Information
To participate in the one-day exam, you must complete an application to be reviewed and approved by ABFM. The online application can be accessed in your MyABFM Portfolio during the open application period. Click here to review important application deadlines.

Examination Information Booklet
To assist you with the Adolescent Medicine application and results process, ABFM provides you with a Examination Information Booklet that includes a comprehensive description of our requirements and policies. We recommend you read this thoroughly before beginning the application process.
Test Center Selection
Once you have completed all application requirements, ABFM will notify the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) of your approved application and eligibility. ABP will contact you via email after application approval with information on selecting a test center. You may schedule an appointment online with ABP’s testing vendor, Prometric, for any day in the exam window, depending on availability. Exam appointments are available on a first come, first served basis.
