The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) is launching a National Journal Club to enhance the competence and performance of practicing family physicians. This initiative will curate the top 100 most important articles annually, providing full-length articles and fostering critical appraisal and discussion of practice implications. Led by a diverse committee of family physicians, the program will offer certification points and CME credit to participating ABFM Diplomates. The web-based platform will include features such as reading lists, assessments, expert commentary, and discussion forums. By supporting evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development, the National Journal Club aims to empower family physicians in their decision-making, patient advocacy, and ability to keep up-to-date with current medical evidence.
