We are pleased to report that the final report of the Vision Commission has been published [PDF 655 KB]. This blue-ribbon report has provided recommendations, based on broad input, for the future of Continuing Certification. The report demonstrates the profession’s commitment to self-regulation and calls on member boards to establish meaningful, relevant and valuable programs to support Diplomates to provide safe, high quality, patient-centered care, while also assuring the public about the trust they can place in board-certified physicians. We look forward to working with ABMS and the other member boards to review and respond to the recommendations of the Commission.
